Swimming at The New Sanno Hotel

Vann was so excited to go in the pool. He had been asking about it all day long. As I began digging through our suitcase to find our suits I turned around to find find that Vann had already taken his clothes off and he was ready to go. He kept asking if Kyle and Marissa (his cousins) were going to come with us. I had to keep telling him that they were at home and weren't going to make it this time. I feel so bad he keeps asking to go home, or sometimes I will find him with the phone to his ear asking to call Auntie. It just breaks my heart. I was hoping that this trip to a different hotel would make him forget some of those things but I think it made him ask more. We have a long three more months left. Hopefully this will be the last trip away from family for a while. We are trying to make the best of it. He looks like his was having fun in the pool.

Daihatsus and More

So this post is more for my dad more than anyone else. So my dad has currently been very fascinated with Daihatsus. He owns several as we speak. Here are some pictures of the Daihatsu dealership along with the maintenance shop. There are also some of the latest models.This is a picture of the maitenance shop.

School Bus

I know you can't see this picture very well but I thought it was kind of funny. This is an advertisment for these medal sheds. The picture is showing you how strong they are. They hold 100 Japaness men. I just thought it was funny to see all of the Japanese men sitting ontop of the storage shed.

Dad- Here is another one for you. These are the classy Halon fire extinguishers you can buy for your kitchen. They want 8800 yen for one. Which is about $97.50 in US. Let me know if you want me to get you one dad. Oh by the way please specify which color you would like. I personaly am drawn to the teal colored one.

Meeting New Friends at Kinugasa Park

Sorry I have not posted anything in a while. Tony had to work Saturday so we didn't really do anything and then Sunday I woke up with a terrible head cold. Sunday morning we had plans to meet up with some people that I had met on a website for military families stationed in Japan. Tony told me that we should cancel considering I wasn't feeling very good but I decided that I would be okay to go considering I knew we weren't going to be gone all day.
We rode the train one stop east to Kinugasa were we met up with the other family. They were so nice and full of information. They have lived in Japan for the past 2 1/2 years. The also had a boy Vanns age. They took us to a park at the top of this hill. It was a great little park that had roller sides and play structures. They also had this huge webbing that went in a circle. Vann and Tony crawled through it. I was kind of bummed out because the roller slide was closed for some reason. They had a little roller slide for the kids. Vann wouldn't go down it but Jack the other little boy loved it. His voice would shake every time he would go down. All and all we had a great time despite me being sick.

Sesame Street

Today there was a live Sesame Street show on base. Becky and I decided to meet up and go together. It was free and a lot of fun. All the kids got Elmo light up toys and USO handkerchiefs as we entered the theater. The theater even had booster seats for the kids to sit in. Vann was really tired because he had not taken a nap all day so he was more fascinated with his Elmo toy. As we left the show we were given Sesame Street videos. I can't believe that it was all free. Oh yeah they also gave away popcorn. Vann fell fast asleep on the walk home.
