Harvest Parties

We went to two harvest parties this year and had a blast. We lucked out and had great weather. It was a little cold but at least it wasn't raining. Vann had a lot of fun playing all of the games and trunk or treating. I will add more later.

Kid Update

I am so bad about writing things down about the kids. I figure its never to late to start. Vann is 4 years old and very strong willed. He has to argue about everything. Tony and I have been taking a Love and Logic parenting class to help us deal with different situations, and so far so good. He is always busy doing something. He love to play outside in the sand, drive his gator, and ride his bike. He is in preschool 3 days a week and loves it. He goes to Awanas every Wednesday night with his cousins. He really enjoys it and says his favorite part is going downstairs and playing games. Awanas is like a youth group through a church. He has to learn a part of a bible verse each week. His memory is really good and it only takes him a couple of times practicing and then he knows it.
Audina is almost 10 months old and is busier then ever. She crawls everywhere and can pull her self up and walk around things. She says 3 words, dadda, momma, and kitty. Her first word was dadda. She has no teeth but loves food. She will try just about anything. Her favorite game is patty cake. She is so sweet and happy all the time.

Jefferson County Fair

Last weekend we went up to the Jefferson County Fair with Sue and Paul. Vann had so much fun seeing all of the animals and watching the mud bog races. Audina was so funny at the mud bogs. Every time the guys would rev their engines, Audina would start grunting. After the fair we headed back to Sue and Paul's for some fresh crab.

It's Been A Long Time

Well I haven't updated my blog in about two years I think. Ok maybe not that long but pretty close. A lot has happened since our last Japan trip. When we got home from Japan I found out I was pregnant. After a year of trying our family was about ready to finally be complete. We later found out we where have a girl. Everyone was excited. I always wanted a boy first and a girl second. We welcomed Audina Rose Michaud into the world at 9:31pm December 27th, 2010. She was beautiful. She weighed 7lbs 8oz, 20 inches long. The first three months were very tough as she was a very colicky baby. It soon got better and better. Audina is now almost 8 months old is very happy. She just learned how to crawl and is into everything.
Vann turned 4 in June and we have had our difficulties as he is definitely testing us these days.
We signed our papers back in October 2010 to start building our new house. They poured the foundation the end of January. We got to move in May 2011. Super exciting. It is so nice to live in a brand new house. We still have not closed on our loan do to a few hiccups but we did lock in our interest rate last week at 4.0%. Any day now and we should sign and be done. Well that is all for now as the kids need me but I will try to start updating more often.
