Viking Fest!

Well this year was nice we actually got to enjoy Viking Fest. We went Friday night just to check everything out. Tony had to have his share of the food. Saturday morning we met all of Tony's family down at the armory for the pancake breakfast. When we finished we walked down where all the rides where so that the kids could have some fun. Unfortunately Vann could only ride two rides because he was too short. He was not happy. He loves the carousel though. He rode that a couple times and then Paul, Kyle, Vann, Tony, Marissa, and I all raced down the big speed slide. Marissa and I won. Vann got a little scared but it didn't stop him he wanted to keep going.
When we finished with rides Tony and I ran home to get some food before the parade started. Vann loved the parade in fact he thought he should have been in the parade. He kept following the people that he enjoyed down the rode. After the parade we went over to my sister in laws grandpa's house and had pizza for dinner. It was a very long and eventful day.

Our Dreams Are Almost Coming True!

We drove down to Centralia today to take a look at our future home we are going to build. Of course both Tony and I fell in love with it. I can't wait until it is on our property! The rooms are all very good size. It has three bedrooms, two baths and a craft room. It also has a three car garage. I keep waiting to have a garage door opener so that I can utilize the spot in my car for it. Hopfully it won't be much longer and we will have a great house to raise our family in. Not that anything is wrong with our house now but it will be nice to have a bigger house to call home.

Oh by the way Tony wants me to tell everyone Vann is now accepting donations to buy him a new tractor.

Kingston Slough

On Friday Vann and I met up With Gina and the Kids and headed out to the Kingston Slough. I had never been out there. It was a lot nicer than I had expected. Vann does not like sand. As soon as he would get it on his hands he wanted it washed off. I hope this is just a phase. All the other kids were playing and having fun and Vann decided to sit on my lap for three hours. He was tired but still three hours on my lap he never does that! Never the less we all had fun and I ended up getting sun burnt on one leg because I sat with my legs crossed. I will have to remember not to do that next time.

BBQ At Grandma and Grandpa's Beach

We went up to my in-laws house last Wednesday for our last time for six weeks because the Hood Canal Bridge will be closed for six weeks. It was a nice evening and we were able to be out side. The kids all had fun playing with all the toys and on grandma Sue's sandy beach. I think all of the dad's had fun too playing with their gas powered trucks. Vann is afraid of Tony's truck. After we had dinner and three different deserts we all walked down one the real beach. Marissa loves to go treasure hunting. Vann and Kyle just likes to get wet and throw rocks. It must be a boy thing because all of the guys were throwing rocks. At least we all had fun.

Excited To Be Home!

So we have been home two weeks and we are all adjusted and doing well. The flight home went great. It was nice to be able to fly home with Tony. Vann is a pro and I feel that I could take him anywhere.
When we got home from the airport Vann was sleeping and slept for about four hours. As soon as he woke up he went crazy. I don't think that he new what he wanted to play with first. He ran from one room to another. About an hour and a half after he woke up all of our family came over to share our first US meal with us. We had a lot of fun and enjoyed seeing everyone. Vann and his cousins, Kyle and Marissa played really well together.
After everyone left we all fell asleep for the night but we all three were wide awake at 2:00am. He had play time for about two hours and then went back to sleep. We all slept until 11:30am. This went on for about three days but I am glad to say that we are all adjusted very well.
