Monday we decided to head up to Costco. We figured since it was a US Holiday it wouldn't be that busy. We were right. As we walked through the door a lady handed us some Japanese coupons. We saw that they had a coupon for kids toothbrushes. We had actually decided that Vann needed a new toothbrush so we ended up getting 6 toothbrushes for $4.50. I thought that was a pretty good deal. We walked around for a while looking at all of the things that they had. A lot of the things were just like ours back home, in fact the packaging was even in English. The only difference was some of the food they carried. Like shrimp and squid pizza, shrimp crackers, and a lot of other weird stuff. We had found a waterproof travel blanket that we decided to get. As we got up to the cashier I gave her my costco card. She handed me a paper to fill out. I got scared that our card wouldn't work. Instead it was just a international form that we needed for them to put in their computer system. When we finished paying we headed over to the food court so that Vann and I could get a mango smoothie. Tony ended up getting some coffee and a churro. We had to wait for the coffee so the lady gave me a number to wait off to the side. I was trying to pay attention but I have no idea what number 82 is in Japanesse. A guy behind me finally nudged me and told me that they had called my number. I truly felt like a forigner. I hate that feeling. We left and went and caught the train back to our hotel.
My sister-in-law had bought me a pedometer for my birthday. I am absessed with it. We walked about 6.2 miles yesturday by the time we got back. We have been averaging at least 5 miles a day. You don't realize how much you walk in a day here. I will keep you guys updated with our mileage.

I remeber thinking that this was so funny last year so I decided to ride it up and then come back down. I am the one in the white hate. In fact I am the only American.
Here is the blanket that we bought along with Vann's new toothbrushes.
