Kanazawa Zoo

Sorry I haven't posted in a few weeks Vann was really sick and then of course I got sick so we really haven't left the hotel in two weeks. We are both starting to feel a lot better. Not 100% but close. Sunday was Tony's only day off so we were trying to figure out what we were going to do. We were going to go find an Outlet Mall that I had heard about but then I remembered i had picked up a flying from the Library about a zoo. I showed it to Tony and he thought that we should go there. I couldn't have agreed more. We rode the express train up one stop got off and went and found the bus that went to the zoo. The bus was all in Kahnji so it was kind of hard trying to figure out what stop to get off at. Thank goodness I had a zoo flyer with me I got up at one of the stops and asked the bus driver the best that I could and he told us were to get off. On the way there we past a cool looking park that I told Tony I wanted to stop at on the way back. As we walked up to the Zoo from the bus there was a huge roller slide park. I was so bummed because we had not brought our bum scoots that you use to sit on the slide. We decided we would come back another day to play at the roller slide park. We made it to the entrance of the zoo and bought our tickets and headed through an interesting tunnel. I felt like I was on the ride "It's a Small World" at Disneyland. It was the most interesting zoo entrance that I have ever been to. We made it through and started looking at all of the animals. We got about half was through the park and were starting to get hungry. We found a place to buy food but it wasn't what you would think of when you buy food. We ate our entire lunch out of a vending machine. Tony got chicken and fries that cooked in the machine and then dispensed when it was done. Vann and I ate cup a noddles out of a machine. It dispensed the cup a noodles, then I opened it and set it back in the machine to fill with hot water. It was very interesting. I had no idea what flavor I was buying either. We ended up getting a verity, it had shrimp, beef, and egg. It was really good. Vann enjoyed it. When we finished eating we headed outside to the ice cream vending machine and got dessert. Tony got a waffle type filled with vanilla ice cream and chocolate, and Vann and I shared juice ice chunks. It wasn't bad. We then headed off to see the rest of the animals. We then headed out of the zoo and back down to the park that I had seen from the bus. It was the most interesting park. There were slides and rope climbs carved into the side of the hill. They were all concrete. Vann went so fast the first time down the slide he flew off at the bottom and landed on his butt. After that he figured out how to slow himself down. He went down about 7 times and then we left just as the bus we needed was driving by. We ended up walking up the road a little ways to a different stop and waited about 5 minutes then the bus came. We had a lot of fun and the weather couldn't have been any better.Waiting at the bus stop.

This was in the tunnel that we had to walk through.

A lot of these kangaroos had babies in their pouches. You can see the legs of one hanging out of the one standing up.

I thought this goat was funny he was eating a zoo map.

Kids were feeding the elephant. We had just missed the cut off to get in and feed the elephant. Vann was pretty upset.

This monkey came down to the glass when Vann was standing there. Vann put his hand on the glass and the monkey hit it.

This is the park in the hill side.

First time down, a little scared.

This kid wanted Vann to go under his legs.
