Today was a really nice day we barley even needed our coats. Nice compared to the weather that we have been having. We decided that we were going to go see Godzilla. Ok so I know what you are thinking Godzilla the movie. No wrong Godzilla a huge statue that has a slide that goes down the back of his tail. I wasn't to thrilled to go but I figured it was an experience that I can't do back home. We met up with some friends that we know from back home and they went with us. They have two girls here so it was fun for Vann to have some other kids to play with. When we made it to the park that we though Godzilla was at we noticed a train that you could take to the top. We decided to buy tickets and take it up. Once we got to the top we were very glad that we had taken the train because it was a long way up there and pretty steep. We would have been to tired once we got up there to play if we would have walked up. So I thought that it was going to be just Godzilla but when we got up there much to my surprise there was a huge play area. One for little kids like Vann and one for Tony and I. I am going to post some videos of the play area. There was a huge roller slide which was a lot of fun once we figured out how to do it. Note don't go on your bottom you will hurt for days. We learned that you kind of have to go on your feet. It was a lot of fun once we figured that out. Vann loved it. He went down the roller slide several times with me and went down a couple of other slides by himself. Wow he is becoming such a independent little guy. There was also a zip line that Tony took Vann on. The best part of the entire park was it was free. I love cheap entertainment. We spent about two hours there and then decided to go back to our friends place for some cake. It was Claire's birthday, she was turning one. Wow the cake was awesome. All of the sweets over here are not very sweet I don't know if that is good or bad. I could see myself eating a lot more because it isn't that sweet. When we were done with cake and presents we all caught the train back into Yokosuka where we live. We went to a Thai restaurant for dinner. It was good but I still think Aroy Dy is my favorite. The portion sizes are a lot smaller here. Tony got a spicy beef and I got spicy chicken it was all very good. When dinner was over they brought out dessert for all of us. It was a bowl of watery jelly with black seeds in it. If I would have known what is was I probably wouldn't have eaten it. I guess it was gelatin with papaya seeds in it. Vann loved it.
We were exhausted by the time we got home. I figured that Vann would pass out considering we had a very long eventful day but he didn't. He was up until 10:00pm.
Here is Vann and I on the train on the way up to see Godzilla.
Here are some kids running up the hill chasing after the train that we were riding. These are huge gardens that you pass on the way up to Godzilla.
