Yokohama Here We Come

So Sunday was the first day that I have left Yokosuka since I have been here. Tony had to work on Saturday so the only day we had to go exploring was Sunday. It was raining so that is why we chose to go to Yokohama. Our plan was to go to the mall and visit the Landmark Tower. We had to take two trains to get there. It took about a half and hour to get there. The train was so busy that we had to stand both ways. It doesn't sound to bad but when you are crammed in there like sardines it kind of stinks. It also gets really hot. We arrived to Yokohama around 1:00pm. First we decidedto go tour the mall. There were a lot of cool shops but very expensive. We just window shopped. We stopped at the bakery and got a snack before we decided to go up in the tower. I was kind of nervous to go up in the tower because for one it is one of the tallest buildings in Japan. Not only tha it has the fastest elevator in the world. We were going all the way up to the 69th floor. It only takes 40 seconds to reach the 69th floor. So us and a ton of other Japanese people packed in the elevator like sardines again. I had a good grip on Tony's hand as we started to go up, thinking that I was going to freak out. It was nothing though, the only weird thing was that your ears popped several times. It didn't seem to bother Vann a bit. Once we got up there the view was amazing. I kind of wished it would have been a clearer day so we could have seen more but oh well. So here is a picture of Vann getting ready in the morning and then some pictures of the tower, mall and the view.

Doesn't he look cute!
This was Vann's first ride on the escalator.

Here is Vann taking a look at the great view
After we were down taking in the view we went down stairs and walked across the road where the amusement park was. We were going to ride a few rides but Vann wasn't in a happy mood and plus it was raining. We are going to come back on a nice day so that we can do the fairis wheel. It is the biggest one in the world. We found a couple kiddy rides that Vann did that were under cover.
Tony and I got a kick out of this carnival game. Toss the ball in the cup of noodle.
